Are you applying to be a raider or a social (fill out entire form even if social just for record keeping purposes):
----------------------------------
|
Raider |
|
Are you apping for the heroic mode run or the normal mode run? (If apping for the heroic mode run you must be full BiS or near full BiS from normal mode)
|
Normal mode |
How did you hear about Plan B or who referred you to apply?
----------------------------------
|
I met Akatank on my alt in Nagrand and asked about his current guild and he directed me to this website to apply to the guild on my main. |
Age: (Applicants under the age of 18 and socials require a plan b member to sponsor you)
----------------------------------
|
19 |
RL Geographic Location:
----------------------------------
|
Washington D.C. Area |
<Previous Guilds> and Servers and Mains (go into great detail):
----------------------------------
|
1 Year with Reverence (Ghostlands -- Alliance)
--Raiding experience on my mage in Naxx, Uld, ToC, early ICC
2 Months with Resurrection (Ghostlands -- Alliance)
--Raiding experience on my mage 7/12 in ICC
--Some experience with from 4/12 to 6/12 on rogue, hunter, paladin
1 month with Shadows Edge (Ghostlands -- Alliance)
--More experience on my mage 11/12 in ICC |
Reason for leaving your most current guild (be honest... these things have a way of coming out.):
----------------------------------
|
Haven't actually left Shadows Edge, have been MIA for less than a month because my RL friend and I decided it was finally time to go horde, chose my paladin as my new main and switched over. Probably going to leave Shadows Edge soon though, since I barely play my Alliance characters now. |
Previous Raiding Experience (If it was on another toon please specify the name and server of the other toon):
Vanilla WoW:
The Burning Crusade:
Wrath of the Lich King:
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
|
Vanilla -- Little experience with MC, ZG, AQ10 on my hunter (name is Mentok on Ghostlands)
BC -- Very little experience in kara on my mage (name is Gnomerage on Ghostlands)
WotLK -- All of Naxx on my mage, hunter, druid (name is Squintyeyes on Ghostlands). 7/12 Uld on my mage. All of ToC on my mage. 11/12 ICC on my mage. 5/12 ICC 10 man on my paladin (Bubblewräp on Ghostlands). 4/12 ICC 25 man on my paladin. |
What do you expect from our guild:
----------------------------------
|
Well I only recently found that I was way more interested in tanking than I was in DPS. I haven't had a huge amount of experience tanking in ICC, but I do know the fights from the DPS standpoint, and knowing how far Plan B has been in ICC, I think that it would be a great place for me to get that tanking experience in ICC before Cata comes out. |
What do you feel you can bring to our guild:
----------------------------------
|
I have an extensive knowledge of 5 classes of the game, so I feel I could help others should they have questions in the guild (even though your wall of text for applicants said they had to research their class beforehand anyway) and I know most of the time tanks are one of the more sought after roles for raids, and I would be more than happy to provide the service :). |
What add-on modules do you use for RAIDING? (be complete - include a link to a pic of your UI if possible):
----------------------------------
|
I don't currently have a SS of my UI, but I use:
Recount
Omen
Grid
Clique (not really on any character but my resto druid)
Atlas
Atlasloot
GearScore
DBM
EventHorizon (again only for select chars)
MSBT
PallyPower
Pitbull4
Power Auras Classic
Quartz
Satrina Buff Frames
Tankpoints
and a few others that aren't really for raiding. |
Net Connection Speed/Type (Also specify standard fps and latency while raiding):
----------------------------------
|
We use Verizon Fios at home, so usually latency isn't a problem.
HP Pavilion laptop that's 2 years old. So usually <30 fps in 25 mans. |
Names of current <Plan B> guild members you know, if any:

Summary of your RL background and interests:
----------------------------------
|
I'm going into my 3rd year of college at the University of Maryland - College Park. I am double majoring in Finance and Computer Science with a minor in Chinese Language. Because of my proximity to campus, I commute from home. I've played WoW since like.....sophomore year of high school so, it's one of my interests. I love movies, music, a few series on tv. |
Days and times typically available (please include time zone):
We have mandatory 2 day-per-week raids: Tues, Sund 6:45-11:30. List your entire availability so if accepted and in the future raid times change we can reference this to accommodate our raiders also if you enjoy raiding 10 man on off-nights list that as well. If you are applying for the normal run the nights are Thurs/Mond 6:45-11:30.
|
Almost any time is good for me now since it's the summer, but I'll have to see how my schedule works out once the semester starts in almost 2 months. |
Very Important!
Why do you spec / glyph the way you do?
(i.e. Why spec 1/2 imp judgments for prot pally tanking instead of 2/2? Where are you putting those other points?)
----------------------------------
|
I spec with 1/2 imp judgements because judgements fit better into the 69696 rotation of a pally tank. I opted to put more points into divinity over reckoning because I figure it would be better to be easily healed than the generate the small amount of threat that reckoning provides. I do put 1 point in reckonings because a chance for a proc is better than no proc at all. |
Different hard modes require different raid make-ups. As a result at times we will have healers or tanks playing dps roles. How is your offspec set and are you comfortable playing offspecs?
----------------------------------
|
Currently my offspec is for arena with my friend, so I have a pvp offset. If need be, that offspec could always change to holy or ret, but building a respective set would need to happen too. |
|
What is the most important aspect of raiding in your opinion?
|
Personally, I believe there are AT LEAST 2 most important aspects of raiding. Those would be PAYING ATTENTION and COOPERATION. I have seen too many PUG's where there is someone that is not paying attention and they wipe the raid. Or when they refuse to listen to someone explaining the fight to them in raid chat because said person wasn't even in ventrilo, and again, wipes the raid. Aside from that, the actual role you play should be flowing naturally so you can work around the mechanics of the fights. |
|
What is your dps, healing, or tanking rotation or priority schema (primary and offspec). BE ELABORATE in your response. This should include all trinkets, cooldown usage, and skills you utilized during an entire boss encounter. This is the most important box! Your level or effort in this box makes more difference to your acceptance then gear or experience. Give it the proper amount of respect.
|
Generally I start a pull by popping Divine Plea then casting both Hand of Reckoning (I know it's a taunt but it's CD is short enough for it to be ready whenever I need it next) and Avenger's Shield since they both deal damage (more frontend threat). Then I move into my 69696 rotation, starting with Shield of Righteousness (usually puts out the most threat of my abilities), then Judgement of Light/Wisdom (whichever is needed), Hammer of the Righteous, Holy Shield, Shield of Righteousness, Consecrate, repeat. Only trink with Use I have atm is the Corroded Skeleton Key which I have macroed with my Holy Shield, so I get a use out of it ASAP. While going through my rotation, I keep an eye on the raid, stacks (if there are any for the fight), and my own health. Depending on the fight, If I know something is about to hit hard, or we've run into some trouble I'll pop my Divine Protection. I also watch my Omen to see who, if anyone, is right behind the tanks in threat and I'll use my Hand of Salvation on them. |
In this day and age of many players getting hacked on a regular basis, having an authenticator is very important for raiders as it assures you will never miss a raid night due to not having your gear because you got hacked.
Do you have an authenticator?
|
Yes I do have one. |
